  • Doris Sizemore. Northern Kentucky - Greater Cincinnati Area. Shelters: Chemo Caps for Childrens Hospital in Cincinnati Ohio -  Accepts all sizes of hats, from newborn to 18 years. Please use yarn and fabrics that are soft to the touch as their scalps may be tender and sensitive from treatment for cancer.  Santa Claus Incorporated of Greater San Bernardino. Accepts layettes, children's clothing (infant to twelve years), and doll clothing (barbie to cabbage patch).  She's also collecting baby caps and booties.

Michigan
  • Michele Roger. Waterford and Pontiac Areas (Oakland County). (248) 738-6228. Shelters: AMOE and the Oakland County Food Bank. Accepts quilt squares of any size, yarn, as well as squares.
  • Tammy King. Shelter: Cass Community. Accepts knitted, crocheted or sewn adult hats, scarves, and mittens/gloves, hats and mittens for children; crib and twin-size blankets, afghans, sweaters, or any other cold weather items. Will also accept any number of 6" or 8" squares and will gladly accept any unused yarn.

  • Renee Youngberg. Minneapolis, St. Paul Area.  Shelter: Southern Anoka County Assistance. Also will donate to Unity Hospital and Mercy Hospital.  I am a current member of an organization called Sheila's Shawls. This group accepts donations of yarn, shawls and scarves to comfort the family member who have lost someone to domestic violence.  Accepts donations of hats, mittens, blankets, and sweaters .
    For all of Minnesota and sometimes other states, I take in shawls, scarves and yarn and distributes them to families or survivors of domestic violence.

  • Yvonne Schreck    NW, Albuquerque, NM    (505) 899-9572   Shelters:  Albuquerque Rescue Mission (a shelter serving the homeless), UNM Children's Hospital and Bev's Baby/Child Care Project for Afghanistan.  Will accept blankets, afghans, quilts (all sizes), hats, gloves, slippers, booties, socks, toys (must be new for the hospital, gently used okay for the Rescue Mission, Baby/Child Afghanistan Project, and Joy  Junction), baby items.   Especially needed is fleece fabric if anyone has some to donate. Will also accept yarn and any size squares.
